We are currently hiring a Document Imaging Specialist based in Worcester. The Document Imaging Specialist ensures health record documents are accurately entered into the patient electronic health record in a timely basis. This position is responsible to accurately process requests for health records adhering to HIPAA privacy policies and regulations.

Salary Range: $15.00-17.00/Hour

Essential Functions:
- Ensure all incoming health documents are accurately entered into the patient electronic health record in a timely fashion. Including scanning and filing paper documents and uploading and filing electronic documents. Accurately identify health document type and file accordingly.
- Process incoming requests for release of information in accordance to Health Records Policies and Procedures and HIPAA regulations, assuring they are responded to in a timely manner adhering to patient confidentiality. Document in the PHI Log.
- Coordinate records held at storage facility, including requests for records and retired record logs.
- Coordinate and manage requests for HEDIS reviews, including scheduling reviewers, maintaining records of patients reviewed and processing requests for HEDIS reviews.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
- Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Basic computer and data entry skills.
- Excellent attention to detail, time management skills
- Demonstrate an awareness of what needs to be done and plans and organizes work for greatest efficiency; shows self-starting motivation to begin and complete work without prompting.
