General Dentist (Full Time)
We are currently looking for a dedicated Fully Licensed Dentist who wants to work in a supportive environment where they can build a meaningful practice. Our clinical team works together to deliver quality dental care and services, manage health disparities amidst our target populations, and make a significant impact on the health of the diverse communities we serve.
We offer full-time schedules (40 hours) and welcome all experience levels.
Job Summary:
The Dentist at Kennedy Community Health Center provides preventive and restorative services in dentistry, and promotes optimum oral health to all patients. They will diagnose and treat oral disease, injuries, and malformations of all structures of the oral cavity.
As part of the team-based approach to care, the Dentist will participate in coordinating care for individual patients, support patients and families in self-management through evidenced-based approaches as may be appropriate, engage in health center projects that are aimed at specific patient population needs, and will utilize effective and appropriate communication strategies, such as health literacy approaches when working with patients.
Essential Functions:
- Procedures we do: Crowns, bridges, implant replacement, root canals, cavity treatments, and exams (including x-rays). We also do whitening, veneers, oral surgery and cosmetic dentistry.
- Adequately diagnose dental conditions and create a treatment plan that adheres to the standard of care and reflects the needs of the patient.
- Provide preventative care, restoration, endodontic therapy, extraction, and replacement of teeth for patients of all ages, and to prescribe medication or palliative treatment, when needed.
- Maintains complete dental records ensuring documentation is thorough and accurate.
- Provides a supportive and mentoring environment for the dental assistants.
- Provides a detailed explanation of dental procedures and outcomes to patients, applying teach back methods, and allowing time for questions and answers.
- Participates in health center initiatives related to oral health
Requirements:
- Graduation from an accredited school of dentistry
- Full Massachusetts Dental License
- Has updated documentation and certification for CPR
- Controlled Substance Certificates at a State (MCSR) and Federal (DEA) level
- Has met all continuing education requirements for dental licensure.
- Bilingual abilities are a plus in the following languages: English and Portuguese or Spanish.
- Ability to work occasional evenings and Saturday afternoons once a month.
- The Health Center requires all employees to have the most recent COVID19 Booster and the yearly Flu Vaccine.

- Diploma signifying graduation from an accredited School of Dentistry
