| The Assistant Medical Director will work both as a Primary Care Provider and also as a Clinical Leader at our Worcester Primary Care site. This person will be responsible for managing, evaluating, and supporting the clinic’s Advanced Practice Clinicians (NPs and PAs). This Assistant Director will also support the APP Residency by participating in precepting Residency sessions, meeting with Residency Director, and acting as liaison between Residency and other administrative teams within the organization. The Assistant Medical Director will provide comprehensive primary care as a member of the clinical practice team, working collaboratively with other team members in providing services to patients. This includes participating in the coordination of care for individual patients, and supporting patients and families in self-management, through evidenced-based approaches as may be appropriate at the clinic. |
| Essential Duties & Responsibilities |
| Clinical: 1 Provide direct medical care to a panel of patients for five sessions per week (20 hours). Complete clinical administrative work 5 hours per week. 2. Adhere to established protocols, responds to medical emergencies within the facility assigned. 3. Assists/instructs other health care employees in the management of client care. 4. Make referrals to health care professionals, specialists, other clinics and community agencies. Administrative: 1. Work on grant funded responsibilities as needed. 2. Work on managerial responsibilities 15 hours per week (see below responsibilities) 3. Review and sign off on bi-weekly timesheets of Advanced Practitioners at the Worcester primary care site.
