We are currently hiring a Pharmacy Manager based in Framingham.  This position Manager is responsible for the staffing and efficient daily operations at our Waverly Street pharmacy. As the primary pharmacist responsible for the health center’s compliance packaging program, this position plays a key role in the establishment of policies and expansion of the program. Responsible for contractual pharmacy relationships and performance, as well as relationships with academic institutions engaged in the training of pharmacists. Will be registered as pharmacist in charge with the Board of Pharmacy. *The role is expected to work from a home-based location but based on business needs and work activities/deliverables that week, a portion of their week may be spent at any health center site location*

Job Summary:

  • Oversees pharmacy operations and clinical activities, ensuring compliance with Kennedy Community Health policies, licensure, and regulatory bodies, including the 340B Program.

  • Maintains financial controls, billing, collections, and coordination with Finance on contracts, patient statements, and inventory invoices.

  • Manages PBM contracting, credentialing, compliance, and audit responses.

  • Supervises drug purchases, inventory, and pharmacy software performance; coordinates with IT on system needs.

  • Hires, trains, and evaluates pharmacy staff, ensuring licensure and certifications are up to date.

  • Collaborates with medical leadership on compliance packaging and supports clinical programs to enhance medication adherence.

  • Counsels patients on medication use, side effects, and interactions, referring to providers when needed.

Education and Experience:

  • Licensure with the Massachusetts Board of Registration in Pharmacy required
  • Minimum 1 year retail, community health center pharmacy experience
  • Minimum 3 years management experience to include responsibility for pharmacy operations, clinical pharmacy programs, and staff management.
  • BLS for healthcare provider (American Heart Association only)
