The Front Desk Reception Supervisor oversees front desk operations, ensuring accurate registration, efficient workflows, and high-quality service. Supervises staff, provides coverage, resolves issues, and partners with clinical teams to support patient flow. May rotate across roles/sites and serve in a cross-organizational coverage pool to maintain staffing during absences.
Essential Functions:
Hire, supervise, train, evaluate and discipline, as needed, Medical Receptionists or other assigned employees within the assigned department
Demonstrate leadership competencies aligned with role and responsibility
Apply advanced management skills, including strategic decision-making, cross-functional collaboration, and staff coaching
Oversee daily site operations, ensuring compliance with patient workflows (registration, verification, scheduling, payments, EHR/EPM tasks)
Supervise staff scheduling, coverage, and daily support (breaks, callouts, leave)
Ensure compliance with federal/state regulations and organizational policies
Standardize and improve workflows across sites
Monitor and report operational metrics, including patient flow and service delays
Promote service excellence through data analysis, trend identification, and process improvement
Requirements:
At least 4 years of experience in healthcare operations, front-end services, or related administrative roles
Demonstrated leadership ability with experience supporting or supervising team workflows
Strong knowledge of patient registration processes, scheduling, and EHR systems
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail
Proficient in Microsoft Office and electronic health record (EHR) platforms
Flexibility and willingness to travel to other health center sites as needed
